Balance Retreat for Dancers
Balance Retreat for Dancers is a Friday through Sunday immersive experience designed to support dancers in resetting both physically and emotionally. Through intentional movement, breath work, reflection, fun, activities, and guided discussion, this retreat creates space to slow down, restore balance, and build evidence-based tools that support sustainable careers and meaningful lives in and beyond dance.
Weekend Schedule
Friday
4 PM - 9 PM
- 4 - 5 Arrival and welcome; boarders settle into the farmhouse
- 5-6 Light Dinner
- 6-8 Discussion on BALANCE and fun icebreaker activity
- 8-9 Pranayama (breath-work) and how it affects the brain
- 9-10 Wind down hour – integration and reflection
Saturday
8 AM - 5 PM
7 PM - 11 PM Elective Classes
- 7:30-8 Elective morning meditation
- 8-9 Morning movement/yoga
- 9-10 Breakfast and prepare for the day
- 10-1 Morning sessions and activities
- 1-2 Lunch
- 2-5 Afternoon sessions and activities
- 5-6 Afternoon Hike
- 6-7 Dinner
- 7-9 Elective sessions (free time if choosing not to sign up)
- 9-10 Game night
- 10-11 Wind down hour – integration and reflection
Sunday
8 AM - 12 PM
- 7:30-8 Elective morning meditation
- 8-9 Morning Movement/yoga
- 9-10 Breakfast and packing up
- 10-12 Closing sessions and activities – carrying practices into everyday life
- 12 – Depart

The Balance Retreat for Dancers is led by a small, thoughtfully chosen team of instructors who understand the unique physical and emotional demands of a dancer’s life. Each instructor brings their own experience, perspective, and care to the weekend, working together to create a grounded, supportive environment where participants feel safe to explore movement, rest, and connection at their own pace.
